Medical Technologist (Part-Time)

STEAMAN Labs is seeking an experienced Medical Technologist to join our growing clinical laboratory in Los Angeles, California. This position is responsible for performing a broad range of clinical laboratory testing, including general chemistry, toxicology/drug testing, and other laboratory assays offered by the laboratory. The Medical Technologist will perform specimen analysis, operate and maintain laboratory instrumentation, verify test results, perform quality control procedures, and ensure accurate and timely reporting of laboratory results to healthcare providers in accordance with laboratory policies and all applicable regulatory requirements.

Minimum Qualifications

• Minimum of five (5) years of clinical laboratory experience in a high-complexity clinical laboratory.
• Current California Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) License or other appropriate California laboratory personnel license required, as applicable to the position.
• ASCP (MLS/MT) Certification or equivalent strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated experience performing general chemistry, toxicology/drug testing, specimen processing, quality control, instrument maintenance, and result verification.
• Thorough knowledge of CLIA, CAP, HIPAA, OSHA, and applicable California laboratory regulations.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while maintaining the highest standards of laboratory quality, accuracy, and patient safety.
• Professional references are required.
